I know all people are talking about it the coronavirus,
but I thought I would talk about a few good things that companies are doing in
the midst of the pandemic. Many companies and schools are pushing towards going
online and working from home. This can create some challenges if you do not
have a way to access the internet or device to use at home. Below are just a
few examples of some great things’ companies are doing to help their employees
and customers!
Facebook is pushing their employees to work from home
and with that they are giving away free portal video chat devices to employees
that request one. Portal comes in several models that allows you to video chat
and can even project through their TV sets.
Fossil informed all customers through social media that
they will be closing all stores until March 28th. The good thing that they are
doing is guaranteeing that their employees will be paid while the stores are
closed. I thought this was such a great thing to hear because so many workers
are concerned that they will not have their income.
Spectrum is offering students free internet during
this time of online learning. This include college and K-12 students. They are
allowed to have this service free for the next 60 days! I love hearing
companies step up and offer services to help their customers or the community
in general! This should be good news to those students that are impacted by the
coronavirus and do not have access to the internet.
